Not your usual beauty pageant
Don’t be fooled by the name, Miss and Mister SL Ebony 2008 are not just some other beauty pageants on the grid. What is new and unseen so far, is that this beauty pageant is the first dedicated to avitars of color in the metaverse. At a time when content theft is a burning issue, you can’t ignore the lack of diversity in the grid. Do designers care more about money and not enough about diversity ? Do customers care more about ideal avitars and not enough about representation ? Cause we are in an other life, in a second life, we have to better the other ones who are misrepresenting or underrepresenting some cultures. Our dutty is to make of this second world a warm and safe place for anyone concerned by the variety of the cultures and of the definition of beauty. Curvy, thin, pale, dark, no matter how long time it will take… Now, a beauty pageant (Miss and Mister SL Ebony) and a company (Ebony Limited) exists to stand for representation.
