Miss SL Ebony 2008 is proud to showcast Kira Ahn Design !

* EXCLUSIVE : Kira Ahn (KA DESIGNS) will join the judges team exclusively for the event ! 

* HOW WILL IT BE JUDGED ? Each girl will model with her own poses and attachments (**), any kind of. They got a shopping spree offered by the stores of KA Designs, Purple Rose Jewerly, Indyra Originals and Cocoluv to get their outfits for the show ready. They made their own styling choice. This night is their night, their unique chance to show us they’re what we need. The judges will give a general note (from 1 to 10 points, 1 meaning they are really disappointed by the model performance) and then we will calculate who are the 15 ladies who got the highest points. DIFFICULTY : in order to keep a certain suspens, the vote of the special Judge, Kira Ahn, and of two other judges (not always the same) will stay secret till the end of the show.

* WHERE WILL THE SHOW BE  ? Models are mastering their modeling skills on the stage at Ebony City. The Second Cycle show will be there : http://slurl.com/secondlife/Motown%20City/32/194/23/

At the end of the show, we will announce the girls who are kept. This time ladies, no exception, no confusion, no kindness… Only 15 girls will go to the next cycle. As the motto of C&D Consulting claims it, they won’t have two chances to give the first impression. If they want to be part of the 15 girls, they will have to do the impossible : seduce a professional judge team with high, very high criterias.

(**) Any model who won’t be on the runway as well as any guest in the public, will be asked to REMOVE any kind of AOs and attachements in order to help reducing the lag.

SATURDAY 5th APRIL WE WILL BE OFFICIALLY ANNOUNCING THE 30 MODELS THAT WE KEEP FOR THE NEXT STEP !!

*6 Judges (Patty Cortes, Indyra Seigo, Storm Babeli, Shaka Saintlouis, Kwamey Pinion, Vixen Fairplay) are working hard finding the potential Miss SL Ebony 2008 and eliminating the girls who won’t have the chance to compete…

*Stats : 58 applications have been submitted for the first season of Miss SL Ebony 2008 and only 30 tickets for the next step of the competition…

*Criteria : For this first selection, judges received strict guidelines to find out who will be kept. They are judging Models upon their Fashion sense, their personality, their motivations and the general beauty of the avatar. Some folders caught particularly our attention, as it seems that some girls havn’t really been honnest about their motivations… You will know more about this point this saturday… It promises to be a very surprising pageant, that’ the least we can say.

Ebony Limited beauty pageants claim to be innovative. For Good reasons. First of all, Miss and Mister SL Ebony 2008 is the premiere ethnic competition organized to promote Ebony beauty. Indeed, it has come to our attention that (too) many virtual Black Models hear during their interviews that their skins are « too dark ». Here, at Ebony Limited, the darker your skin is, the more you are welcome. Secondly, we would like to be grateful to skin designers who care about cultural diversity and look beyond money interest to design premium dark tan and ebony skin tones for people who simply wants to look black and beautiful in the metaverse. Eventually, no beauty pageants featuring only Male models in SL has been rewarding him more than 10,000L$. Cause we like to surprise and to please, Ebony Limited announces a far bigger money prize. The company always goes beyond all expectations.

Conditions and Process (Warning : Mister SL Ebony is STILL accepting folders ! / Miss SL Ebony doesn’t accept folders anymore.)

Conditions 

To be the next Miss or Mister SL Ebony 2008 here are the conditions :
- OWN and wear daily a black skin tone (tan, dark tan, black and ebony skin tones)
- VERSATILE models are accepted !
- USE an avitar looking like an “adult” ; we are NOT accepting kids and teens on the contest.
- JOIN the group « Miss SL Ebony 2008 Pageant » (if you are a female avitar)
- JOIN the group « Mister SL Ebony 2008 Pageant » (if you are a male avitar)
- JOIN the group « The Ebony Limited Beauty Pageants » (anybody, even if you doesn’t apply)

Process

Create a folder and name it like in the following example :

Put in the folder the following items :
(1) THE MOTIVATIONS CARD – Write a few lines (around 15 lines) explaining why you are participating to this contest – You will name this notecard “My motivations by (your name here)”
(2) THE STYLING CARD – Provide a styling card detailing who are your favorite SL Fashion Designers and why as well as the clothing that you are wearing on the Glamour and the Casual photos required.You will name this notecard “My Styling Card by (your name here)”
(3) 4 PROFESSIONAL PICS – Put up 4 professional photos of your avatar (a glamour shot, a swimwear shot, a casual shot and a head shot.) You will name them as following :
1. Glamour Shot of (your name here)
2. Swimwear Shot of (your name here)
3. Casual Shot of (your name here)
4. Head Shot of (your name here)

*BEWARE : we will be particularly attentive to how you define style and what is your ability to make a difference between something classy and glamour, something exotic and a PROFESSIONAL swimwear shot and of course how you define a “casual” style. This is the first test that will help us choosing and eliminating Models for the next step so choose carefully !

When done send everything to Patty Cortes with an IM to warn her that you sent your application.

*PARTICIPATION FEE : We will be asking all the participants to pay a one time fee of 100L$ (non refundable) to enter the contest. This is the sum that you will pay to join the contestants group. In return the participants will get a very special gift, an item exclusively designed by Purple Rose Jewelry Designer (Storm Babeli) for this one of a kind occasion ! Stay stunned…

Ebony Limited is a company founded and managed by Patty Cortes a woman fond of Africa who is dedicated to promote its culture and to showcase its beauty in-world. Striving for a colorful world, this lady aim at celebrating under any circumstances the cultural diversity in the metaverse. Today, Ebony Limited is proud to announce its brand new project : the official Ebony Limited Beauty Pageants 2008. Indeed, not only will we be looking for the first Miss SL Ebony in the whole SL story but also for the premiere Mister SL Ebony !

This is the unique beauty pageant dedicated to black models who have ever been created, run and hosted in-world. We have high-standards and we are looking only for high-class models. If you think you have what it takes, be ready to be evaluated by the who’s who of the SL Black Community who are for most important people in the SL fashion industry as well as proud black culture promoters.
